Key Features

This STEM - IoT course provides an introduction to the concept of IoT and its applications in our daily lives, while developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills. By the end of the course, students will have gained an understanding of IoT devices and their components, and will have built and programmed simple IoT projects.

  • Overview of the Internet of Things and its applications in daily life
  • Explanation of IoT devices and their components
  • Understanding the basics of microcontrollers and how they work
  • Programming the microcontroller using block-based programming software
  • Basic Programming Logics
  • Building a temperature sensor using a microcontroller and temperature sensor module
  • Programming the temperature sensor to display the temperature on an LCD screen or through an app
  • Building a smart home automation system using a microcontroller and relays
  • Programming the automation system to control lights and appliances in a room through an app
  • Building Remote Controlled Car using Aurdino and Sensor
  • Working in groups, students will design and build an IoT project of their choice, applying concepts learned throughout the course
  • Presenting their project to the class and explaining how it works and its applications
